NEW YORK (PIX11) – Mayoral candidate John Liu is sending another message to Mayor Bloomberg.

Today the city comptroller protested the $127M city subsidy of Fresh Direct’s move from queens to the Bronx. Liu cast the only “no” vote on the industrial development agency’s fresh direct boost. Liu says fresh direct will be paid over $100 thousand for every job it promises to create with the move. Activists in the Bronx say adding more truck-based traffic from fresh direct will add to the asthma problem in the borough.
