When elected officials investigate the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Bronx, they should simply listen to what Mychal Johnson has said for years. The climate justice advocate warned of the catastrophic effects of pollution, asthma rates, food deserts and other ways the South Bronx has been neglected for decades. Johnson is on the city's Waterfront Management Advisory Board and the New York City Community Land Initiative’s board of directors.
